Twinkens is owned and operated by NOVA IMPACT LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16126510, with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. In this policy, "Twinkens", "we", "us" and "our" refer to NOVA IMPACT LTD.

This policy explains what we collect when you visit twinkens.com, buy one of our digital products, or contact us - and what we don't collect.

When you buy: checkout runs entirely through PayPal, or through Google Play Billing inside the Android app. We never see or store your card number. PayPal (or Google Play) passes us your order details - name/email address where given, the amount paid, and an order/capture/purchase reference - so we can grant access to the ebook and answer support questions about that order.

When you sign in (website or app): we ask for your email address and send a 6-digit one-time code to it - there is no password to create or store. We store the email you verified, and a hashed (not plain-text) record of the code purely to check it once, briefly, before it expires.

When you contact us: the name, email, topic and message you submit through the contact form. We use it to reply to you and to keep a record in case you write in again.

Activity records: we record available IP addresses alongside contact submissions, checkout starts, payment capture requests, ebook download/read requests and admin sign-in attempts. These records include timestamps and the relevant order reference or submitted email, and help us provide support, investigate payment issues and protect the store. Contact notification emails also include the sender's IP address.

We do not run advertising trackers or analytics cookies on this site or in the app.

Order records (email, product, amount, date, a PayPal or Google Play reference) let us restore your library, answer a support question, and stop the same payment notification from granting access twice. Contact messages let us follow up and keep context if you write again.

The Twinkens app (Android/iOS) uses the same passwordless email sign-in described above to show your purchased guides in "My Library" - there is no separate app account or profile.

What stays on your device: your favorited guides/stories and your reading position are stored only in the app's local storage. We never receive or store this - it is not part of your Twinkens account and does not sync anywhere.

Purchases made in the app (Android): when you buy through Google Play Billing, Google processes the payment and never shares your Google account email with us. Our server only receives a purchase token, which it uses solely to verify the purchase directly with Google before unlocking the guide for whichever Twinkens email you are signed in with in the app.

Reading and downloading: opening or downloading a guide you own generates a private, time-limited link checked against your account each time - the file itself is never made publicly accessible.

The app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs, and requests no device permissions beyond internet access.

PayPal processes web payments under its own privacy policy - we don't control what PayPal collects during checkout.

Google Play processes in-app Android payments under Google's own privacy policy - we don't control what Google collects during that purchase, and we never receive your Google account email.

Brevo (our email provider) sends the emails we trigger - your sign-in code, download link, order confirmation, and replies to your contact message - on our behalf.

We don't sell or rent your information to anyone, for any reason.

Completed purchase and transaction records are retained for up to six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, or longer where legally required, for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, refunds and dispute handling. Contact and activity records are kept only as long as needed for support, security and dispute handling.

You can delete your app account from Profile in the Twinkens app or follow the steps on our account deletion page. We remove the account record and ebook-library entitlements, while retaining transaction records where required by law.

Twinkens - the website and the app - is written for parents, not children. The narrated stories are meant to be read or played by a parent with their child, not by a child operating an account alone. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, no part of the site or app is directed at children as its intended user, and neither offers account creation, messaging, or any feature for a child to use unsupervised.

Ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] - a person replies.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, say so on the homepage.

If you live in the UK or EU and feel we have not handled your concerns properly, you can make a complaint to your local data protection authority.
